These days, it’s all about being healthy and whole. Which is why I love Whole Foods Market. Being a reluctant gluten-free survivor, I appreciate the incredible healthy options and earth conscious products they sell. Today’s post is inspired by the new Whole Foods Market that opens tomorrow, July 16th in Addision, Texas. I got to take a sneak peek tour before the store opens, and it’s pretty incredible.
The new store has over 20 fresh squeezed juices daily, more than 100 varieties of cut fruit and vegetables, grinders for nut butters, local honey, and syrups. If that isn’t enough, you can get over 550 cheese, nut mixes, and cheese curds and dips. (Homemade queso, anyone?)
If you’re not much of a chef, the store features a coffee and juice bar, smokehouse plate lunches, and the “Spirit of ’76” bar with 25 beverages on tap. Oh, and for the gluten-free folks, they have a large selection of breads, breakfast items, and desserts. Finally! I can enjoy bread again.
The stores also feature organic clothing, vegan soaps, and “green” products for face and body. I chose today’s outfit because it’s made from sustainable materials: cotton, wood, and leather. Vegetable dyes are safe for making beautiful patterns like the one on this breezy summer shirt, and the real wood earrings and bracelet are a “green” touch. It’s nice to patronize businesses that are doing good for mind, body, and spirit. Won’t you join me? (Don’t forget if you’re local to Dallas, the Addison location is open tomorrow!)
