I had no idea going into this month that it would be so busy, so that explains my lack of blog posts. But I couldn’t let this week begin without a few quick snaps of my favorite holiday moments of 2015….
Top Row: I got the chance to spend the morning making holiday goodies with the author of “Sophistication is Overrated”, Susan Palma. Her home is one of the coziest and most fabulously decorated places I’ve had the pleasure of seeing. Doesn’t that fireplace just call to you? (Check out her book for some super creative entertaining ideas!)
I also spent the second Christmas Day in a row working, but it’s with the nicest group of people I know. There’s something special about having a work family that you adore; it makes the working the holidays not only bearable, but fun.
Middle Row: We have a family tradition of wearing matching sweaters on Christmas Day. Santa always brings a different sweater (or sweatshirt,) every year, and we wear them to brunch at one of our favorite places, Texas Spice in the Omni Hotel.
I also had to photograph one of my sparkling presents: this gorgeous gold Christian Louboutin Nicole Mesh-Inset Caged Red Sole Sandal. This is a party shoe if I ever saw one! All this pair needs is a dance floor.
Bottom Row: One of my beautiful co-workers, Neeha, got the chance to do a hard-hitting interview with Santa this year. We had so much fun getting to peek inside Santa’s house and hear his thoughts on what gets you OFF the Naughty List! He was the real deal, so it was an honor meeting old Saint Nick.
Last was this photo from the Winnetka Heights Holiday Home Tour in Dallas. I have made going on this home tour one of my holiday traditions. If you’re ever in Dallas during the holiday season, be sure to check it out! The neighborhood has tons of character, most of the homes are historical, and seeing how everyone decorates for Christmas is a real treat. They even have pedicabs to take you from house to house if you prefer that over walking.
I’m waving goodbye to the fun of 2015, and excited about what this year holds. Happy New Year, everyone!
