Summer is a season to let go a little, relax more, and stop taking everything so seriously, isn’t it? Remember the feeling you would get on the last day of school before it let out for summer break? It was a carefree time…filled with ice cream trucks and sprinklers in the yard…and wearing whatever you wanted to go out and play. Why should we let age change things?
I tend to gravitate towards uniformity and wear like colors, but something about affordable options opens up a whole new world of color combinations. You don’t have to sweat buying a chartreuse shirt when you know you won’t wear it as often as your traditional white button-up. I found this flowy shirt and hot pink skinnies at Forever21 for less than $50, and bought this pretty cerulean blue necklace there, too! The necklace is long enough to layer twice or wear long. Hooray for versatility! At less than $8 for the necklace, I was able to splurge another $5.80 on the neon sunglasses to shield my eyes from the harsh summer rays.
And I’ll be honest: I would never have usually worn those neon sunglasses. But for under $10, you can take chances. Try something trendy. Get out of your comfort zone. Go play and get swept away by color. It’s almost officially the first day of summer!

*Side note: There will be a short break in my 21 days of 21 as I take a few days to work out of state. The goods will be back this Friday!
