Well, it’s Day 21….what a wonderful adventure it has been to live each day in Forever21 and demonstrate you can put together lovely outfits for every moment of your life spending minimal money. One of the best things to come out of this experience is proving mixing high end items with more affordably priced pieces is a fantastic way to go when trying to save and still look fabulous. Investment pieces are always a good idea; just don’t make every piece an investment piece and you’ll stay out of style debt.
Today’s look is a little more bohemian and is a tribute to my friend Stephanie, who always manages to look effortlessly beautiful. She’s been known to rock hats, scarves, and flowing pieces that give off a free-spirit vibe. What I love about the sweater in this look is that it’s breezy and cool, and looks great with shorts. These shorts were incredibly affordable ($14.80), and who doesn’t love a pretty jade green? Throw on a few fun jewelry pieces, a colorful handbag, grab a summer read, and you’re good to go. (I chose the book “Very Classy” by Derek Blasberg.)
*If you’d like to modify this look for work, wear the scarf as a headband and lose the shorts. Replace them with a comfy pair of linen dress pants.
Thank you for following me on the Forever21 journey…I won’t be retiring my love for affordable fashion anytime soon!
