THIS is the moment. There is no better time to dress for summer than right now. July is the epitome of what summer is all about: heat, bright colors, breezy whites and greys, and open-toed shoes. And I couldn’t help but share with you the place I found two summer dresses that I have been wearing non-stop.
This Kelsey maxi wrap dress (c/o) is from Ellie Kai, and if you haven’t shopped this brand before, you might want to start now. I have made it my mission this year to buy things that are figure flattering and excellent quality, even if it costs me a little more. I have cut back on buying super trendy “one and done” items in favor of the timeless classics. If you are into saving money over the long haul and have given up buying those pieces you will only wear for a season, then you will love Ellie Kai. Here’s how they do things: to ensure each woman is able to find her perfect pieces, they offer various ways to customize each item. Depending on the style, this could be a different zipper, sleeve, hem or button. They custom sew the items and send them three weeks later, and I can honestly say they are the BEST fitting items I’ve ever ordered. These custom pieces can be ordered in different patterns, colors, etc. and you know they will fit like a glove!
Speaking of new discoveries, I found Closet Access, which has become my new obsession. People close to me know I have a handbag addiction…and my collection keeps growing. I have been dreaming of a light grey bag, and this one from Closet Access stole my heart. Isn’t it pretty? It’s real genuine leather, and under $100! (Most of their bags retail under $100.) This style is the Thea Tote (c/0), but I found myself spending more time than I’d like to admit browsing their site trying to decide. (Check out this Bow Snakeskin Carryall….gorgeous!) I personally think these handbags look far more expensive than what they sell for, which makes me feel like I’m getting a fabulous deal. At these prices, I can add to my collection more often and have cute bags in every color!
My final recommendation is the Essie Summer 2016 collection (c/o), your nails and toes will never look better. I have been an Essie fan ever since Ballet Slippers came on the scene. (It’s still one of my very favorite shades.) This special summer collection features shades inspired by Antigua, Guatemala. I’m a big fan of the deep berry Berried Treasures and creamy white Coconut Cove for my fingernails, and I decided to get bold with Viva Antigua on my toes. I’m glad I got to finally try a sparkling turquoise…it’s even more lovely on than in the bottle!
Those are my summer recommendations this Wednesday. Have a great rest of the week!
