I don’t have enough shirts. Okay, I DO actually have enough, but I have fewer blouses and shirts than I do dresses. I’ve purchased so many dresses over the years for work that I have a weird imbalance in my closet now. I like classic shirts in classic colors that I can pack for any vacation, take to any shoot, or wear to church on Sunday. This sleeveless black shirt with a sheer mesh panel stole my heart because of its pretty simplicity. And the fact that it costs $9??? Incredible. I was sold.
I have invested in growing my crossbody collection of bags this year because they are so much easier to travel and shop with. And a reeeeeaaallly good crossbody bag also can double as a clutch, so it can be an evening bag with the removal of a chain or strap. I chose this Hannah style from JoJo Handbags for a few reasons:
- It’s so lightweight! It’s like carrying nothing, even with my credit cards and iPhone inside.
- It has a fun and modern graphic pattern that works with a casual outfit or with a cocktail dress. (Adds a pop of color and style to even something basic.)
- This is a practical purse. It has convenient pockets, high-end hardware, and the chain strap can be removed to make it a gorgeous clutch. Take a look at my photo of the multi-color zipper inside. It’s adorable.
Know what else is special about this super cute bag? It says “anything is possible” in tiny letters on the front and back of the bag. What an awesome reminder when you’re going throughout the day! JoJo has some of the best color/pattern combos I’ve ever seen, and you can find them here.
Last, but not least, is the way I am combatting summer hair/scalp dry out. I wouldn’t say I’m an avid swimmer, but I have been spending time at the pool more this summer than in years past. Even if I’m not swimming laps, just being in the chlorine is still infiltrating my hair and drying it out. It’s no secret that I have a love affair with Aveda hair products, so I recommend the Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair and Shampure Composition Oil to keep your hair in check. I was introduced to Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair ($30) when I went into Aveda, and after one use, I was hooked. You can use this leave-in treatment every day, and it instantly repairs damaged hair and protects it from heat styling. It also detangles! (My hair is always a knotted mess when I get out of the pool or the ocean.)
The Shampure Composition Oil ($30) is my best friend when I accidentally sunburn my scalp! You can use this oil on your face, hair, scalp, body…it’s perfect and moisturizing any and everywhere. The calming aroma comes from 25 pure flower and plant essences, so when your scalp is burned or dry, it not only soothes it, but leaves a calming scent. You can also add a few drops of this to your bathwater to have a luxurious soak if you’ve managed to spend too much time in the sun resulting in sunburned or dry skin. A little goes a looooong way, so this oil should last you a long time.
Have a fantastic Tuesday, and I’ll be back later this week with another good deal.
