Aftershock London dress / Annie NYX Clutch / Rhinestone Circle Earrings (similar here)
A few nights ago, my husband and I attended the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Gala, and I needed a beautiful gown to wear. If you’ve ever shopped at Aftershock London online or in person, then you know they have the most amazing dresses, so they were the first place I thought of. I went in and asked the lovely associates for their help in narrowing down a long gown look, and this one (which comes in red or black,) really caught my eye. Though I tried on a variety of brighter colors-blue, hot pink, and lavender, I went with classic black.
This dress has some stretch, so even though it’s form-fitting, it is incredibly comfortable. It’s the ideal length to wear with tall heels, and the fabric isn’t going to snag or tear if you accidentally step on the dress walking up or down stairs. (Let’s be real. We’ve all been there.) My favorite part of the dress is the gorgeous lace back! Though I wore my hair down that night, I couldn’t help but think how beautiful this dress would look with a sophisticated up-do.
As far as what to carry to a formal night, out, I never really know what to bring. Some of my evening purses are too small, and can’t even fit my iPhone. I wanted something simple that I can wear with everything, but will actually hold my phone, a few cosmetics, gum, my keys, and my business card holder. This Annie Handbags “NYX” clutch fit all that in it, and I could still close it easily! In a world of horses, this bag is my unicorn.
