Have you heard the phrase “athleisure” yet? It’s basically athletic attire that you wear when you are leisurely active, which is pretty often for most of us. Oh sure, there are days when I run several miles and sweat through a Zumba class, but when I want to run errands, take a walk around the lake, or play outdoors with my dogs, I don’t need full-on sportsbra and running tights. I DO take this BKR glass water bottle with me everywhere, though. It’s worth investing in if you need more H20. (Their company manifesto: “bkr is a statement against a disposable world, against transporting water between continents, and against the chemicals we ingest when we base our decisions on convenience.” Yes.)
Enter “athleisure”. I bought this outfit at Forever21, which has expanded their trend empire to include activewear and even athletic shoes. They have tons of fun colors, the fit is fantastic, and the clothes are so reasonably priced that you can upgrade your sweat closet. I bought an arsenal of items right after the holidays to help motivate me to get out and get moving. I can’t keep eating a pan full of brownies every night and not expect it to show up all kinds of places. But hey, I’m drinking plenty of water!
So, goodbye chipmunk cheeks, and HELLO leisurely game of ball throwing by the lake! (And yes, I do know the ball needs airing up. I was just lazy. Which brings us back to why I bought the clothes in the first place. Hmmm.)

I practically live in my workout gear on the weekends and I agree, I need more leisure wear. Love the outfit!
