Oh, this dress. It’s become the highlight of my month. When I took it off the rack at Lion & Witch, I thought it was cute and would be a great fall dress. But after seeing it on, I realized just how much I love the design of it. And it’s not just me who loves this dress….I was asked at least fifteen times the day I wore it where it came from! It’s under $80 at Lion & Witch, and it’s going to be in my wardrobe rotation from here on out. I wore my new Uno Magnetic necklace in gold with the Swarovski clear crystal charm to add a little sparkle! (Side note: if you’re into the choker trend that has re-emerged, Uno Magnetic chains are the perfect way to try it out.)
Now let’s talk about beauty. I’m a longtime fan of eos lip balms and hand lotion, but their new Sheer Shimmer Lip Balms are nothing short of awesome! When I’m finished with the workday and take off my lipstick, I still want a little hint of color and shine. The pink shimmer adds a little pop of pink and a light shine, which makes it a perfect alternative to wearing heavy gloss. (It also comes in a pearl shimmer, which you can see still in the package. I’m saving that one to take to work!) And if you love the new eos body lotions, if you purchase eos Berry Blossom Body Lotion during the month of October, eos dedicates 100% of net profits to breast cancer research at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. (You can find the lotion at Target, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Kohl’s and Bed Bath and Beyond. Get yours for a good cause!) And in the same vein of health and wellness, The Body Shop has the most fabulous line of expert facial masks you’ll every try. The best news for my veggie lovin’ friends is that they are vegetarian and paraben-free! So far, I’ve tried the 100% Vegan Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask, which is a mud-textured exfoliating mask. It unclogs pores and gets rid of toxins. I love charcoal in any form, and this mask makes your skin look fresh and clean. The look of fatigue that I wear on my face daily prompted me to try the 100% Vegan Amazonian Acai Energizing Radiance Mask, too. This one smells sweet and lovely; it’s an exfoliating gel facial mask that “revives and energizes the skin”. It’s an immune booster for skin, which is pretty cool. The guarana seed and acai help counteract the stress that seems to settle in my face. Masks are an easy and affordable way for me to keep my face from needing super invasive procedures, so different masks twice a week seems to do the trick!
I’m now heading to a pumpkin spice foods tasting shoot…wish me luck…. 🙂
