Awear Black Sunglasses/ Black Embroidered Top / Black Linen Shorts / Gucci Soho Bag / TYME Hair Iron
I’m a sunglasses lover. I have collected (and broken or lost), my fair share of sunnies. I’m always on the lookout for the next big pair, since I’ve developed some strong opinions about what I like and what I don’t in a pair. I’ve owned several that looked like a million bucks but weren’t comfortable, fit like a dream but weren’t stylish, and then there was the time I accidentally flushed a pair of Chanel sunglasses down a toilet. Don’t ask.
Since we head to the desert of Palm Springs every year, I wanted to make sure I took a cute and comfortable pair with me that I could use for every activity: shopping, exercising outdoors, laying by the pool. Awear is a new brand to me, and it appealed to me first and foremost because of how incredibly light the frames are. I mean really light. They claim featherweight comfort, and they are speaking truth. These sunglasses are the lightest and most comfortable pair I’ve ever worn. I went with classic black.
Style and comfort are enough to sell me on a product, but Awear also comes with a feel-good element, too. This brand has eco-conscious elements integrated into every pair: (1) all frames/sun lenses utilize sustainable materials, (2) CO2 emission reduction, (3) water conservation during production, (4) decreased energy consumption, (5) biodegradable demo lenses. I love that I can wear something like these Awear sunglasses and know I’m buying into a brand that lives by principles I respect.
I also promised I would talk about how I got these loose, beachy waves in my hair, and it’s all thanks to the TYME Hair Iron. It’s nothing short of amazing. I’ve used practically every wand, curling iron, InStyler…ceramic, gold, tourmaline…you name it. I’m always curious about new hair tools, since I have to style my own hair for the show and I’m not someone who likes to spend a lot of time on my hair. The TYME iron is the real deal. I wouldn’t recommend anyone spend money on something I didn’t think worked, and this, my friends, WORKS. I’ll be honest; it took me about three days to figure out how to use the iron properly. Luckily, TYME will set you up with a Skype tutorial if need be, and they have super helpful tutorials on their site as well. I watched several as I was learning to turn the iron the right way and how to create full curls or beachy waves. The greatest thing besides the awesome curls/waves, is how LONG they last. It’s nothing short of amazing. I don’t have to keep curling and curling and curling day after day. This iron has staying power. Watch a few of the videos and see for yourself. I hope to post a video of me using the iron down the road, but for now, hopefully you can see from these pics the great results I am enjoying. (These pics are my real hair with no extensions. Imagine the fullness if you also curled any extensions you own!) You can order one here, and believe me, you’ll be thankful you did.
