I mentioned in a previous post that I have been using Urban Decay since high school, and really love it. They came out with a new set of makeup called their “Born to Run” collection, and I wanted to share what I love about it! Before I do, though, can you believe these heels are only $27???)
Let me start off by saying that one of my favorite things about the brand Urban Decay is that it’s affordable makeup. It’s a step above what you’ll find at your local store, but not outrageously priced like some of the brands at Nordstrom, Sephora, etc. So, $49 for an eye palette with all the colors I need? I think that’s priced accordingly.
Here’s my favs:
The all-in-one Born To Run Eyeshadow Palette lets you create nude makeup looks but also has pops of color with brights for when you’re feeling bolder. There is a total of 21 eyeshadow shades, so you’ve got every possible eye look covered in one really pretty makeup kit.
There are three new, limited-edition shades of Born To Run Vice Lipstick ($18), which are rich and provide even coverage. They also last a long time, which is a major reason I like them. Shade 66 is a gorgeous neutral and my absolute favorite….
….but Marfa and Ready (which has glittery flecks!) are both bolder and very pretty, too.
I’ve been a long-time user of the 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil ($15), and these new, rich jewel tones are so creamy and beautiful. They consist of a waterproof formula that WILL NOT budge, so these look good all day long, even if you decide to spend it in the pool!
They also made a Born To Run Travel-Size All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray ($15) which keeps makeup looking just-applied for up to 16 hours. If you haven’t tried their setting spray before, I urge you to get this travel size and try it out. It does wonders for helping makeup stay put, without settling into fine lines and looking cakey. Your makeup won’t melt or fade! Pretty darn cool.
Let me know if you’re an Urban Decay fan! Since clothes aren’t as easy to get excited about at seven months pregnant, makeup has become my latest obsession. 🙂
