If you’re an animal lover like I am, then you are probably already getting excited about the Hallmark Channel’s American Rescue Dog Show, which is a competition that includes “mixed breed and pure breed rescue dogs competing in a variety of cute categories, all with the goal of ending pet homelessness.” Um, does it get any better than that? I only wish I’d heard about it sooner, because I would totally have submitted Tate Dogovan as a contender for “Best Underbite”. I guess there is always next year!
I’m an advocate for Adopt, Don’t Shop, since there is an abundance of amazing critters in your local shelter that need a good home and want to love you! Every year in America, it’s estimated that 2.11 million puppies are sold that originated from breeders, while 3 million are killed in shelters because they are too full and there aren’t enough adoptive homes. If you want a particular breed, there are breed-specific rescues where you can find the companion you’re looking for. In addition to adopting a rescue dog, cat, pig…you get the idea, you can also support businesses that donate to animal rescue organizations. Which leads me to one of the reasons why I wanted to feature Serendipity Cosmetics. It’s awesome that they pledge a portion of all proceeds from the sale of Serendipity to be donated to rescue shelters and rehabilitation centers around the country, and even more awesome that the products are fantastic.
The Perfection Hyaluronic Face Cream, Gaze Restoring Eye Cream, Sparkle Rejuvenating Eye Serum, and the Serenade Repairing Night Cream work together to give you glowing, hydrated skin. The products are an investment, but the packaging and scent (and how effective they are!) make them seem like quite the bargain. I first encountered hyaluronic creams a few years ago, and Serendipity’s is one of the best I’ve seen. It leaves your skin nourished in a way other creams don’t. If you only have a little to spend, I’d spend it on this one for sure.
The Serenade Repairing Night Cream is for those of us who need some serious moisture while we sleep. I suffer with really dry skin, so this adds an extra layer of moisture so I wake up with skin that is prepped and ready for makeup! But before I put on my foundation, I love to prep my undereye with Sparkle Rejuvenating Eye Serum to minimize the look of eye wrinkles, and then follow up with Gaze Restoring Eye Cream. This stuff is BOMB. It targets dark circles and swelling under the eyes and keeps red blood cells from forming around that area. Your concealer never looked so good!
It hasn’t really been warm enough to be “springtime” yet, but I felt like bringing out the butterflies anyway. Who else can’t wait for warmer temps, blooming flowers and butterflies?
