When you don’t have to get dressed up, what do you wear? I dress up every day for work, so when I’m off the clock, it’s all casual, all the time. I don’t spend a lot on my casual wardrobe, but every once in a while I will come across something so comfy and cute that I’ll drop a pretty penny on it. And that’s Crane & Lion.
The Crane & the Lion are two poses in yoga, reflecting the company’s goal: to marry fitness and fashion. Be still my heart!
When my capris, tank, and sportsbra (on sale for $42!) arrived, I was soooo excited. I have plenty of traditional workout clothes, but these were different. These pieces were worthy of running errands! Going to my nail appointment! Meeting friends for lunch! Interestingly enough, the capris were ordered in my ideal size. But when I took them out of the package, I thought, “There is NO way these will fit. They look much too small.” I figured I might as well try them on to be sure, and I am thrilled that I did. The stretch in them is amazing! They hold everything in like a good pair of Spanx, and make your backside look high and tight. Hello!
Crane & Lion has awesome pieces currently on sale on their website, so snag a few while the prices are crazy good. Your casual Fridays, weekends, and days you just plain want to feel comfortable (and cute), will thank you.
Speaking of casual, I also want to let you in on two other things that I’d love for you to check out. First is my new hair helper, the Ponilox. Ever put your hair up in a ponytail, and then take it down later to find an ugly crease in your hair? You can go from an up-do to down in seconds without having to shampoo and blow dry to get rid of the crease with Ponilox. It’s basically a French Comb with a Pivoting Barrette, and you can create a handful of different updo and braid styles with it. It does take a few times doing it to get it exactly right if you try to replicate one of the more complicated looks, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll be hooked. The best part is that it doesn’t fall out easily, so you can throw your hair up in it right before your run or workout at the gym, and it stays put. I’m a fan of Ponilox because of how much time it saves me, and my hair still looks pretty!
Last discovery on the list: Chuda. This one is for people who really need it, and perhaps there are some of you out there who do. I recently had a medical procedure on my face that left my skin compromised. It has been red, swollen, raw, and wounded. Though it was just a small area, it hurt quite a bit and I was scared it would scar. Luckily, I’d recently acquired Chuda, which is designed for sensitive, damaged skin. The cream is rich and feels hydrating the moment you put it on. It’s a skin saver for burn victims, plastic surgery patients recovering from their procedures, people who live in dry climates, or those who just have super dry skin or sensitive skin conditions. You can add me to the list, because it worked beautifully on my face. I’m still in the process of using it to minimize the scarring, but so far, it’s been a blessing. All you have to do is read a few of the reviews and you’ll be a believer. If the price is too hefty for an everyday cream, it’s certainly worth buying one to have on hand in the event that you have an accident, procedure, or surgery. Besides the awesome medical testimony, you should see the before and after pics of people who used it to look younger! Lines and creases looked as if they had been smoothed out by Photoshop. This is incredible stuff, and I even wrote my own review because I love it so much.
Happy Wednesday!
