There are few things a girl loves more than a good blowout. It’s a simple, affordable luxury. It makes you feel better. Brighter. More beautiful.
It’s just finding the right place to get that simple luxury and turn a good hair week into a PHENOMENAL hair week. And I found it.
**Now, let me preface this: if you don’t live in Dallas, this still applies to you.
Dear Clark isn’t just a salon in my city, it’s a business that makes some of the best smelling, long-lasting hair products. So if you do your own blowouts at home (and perhaps you live in Ohio,) you can still enjoy these same lovely results!
I was given the chance to have my hair blown out at the Blow Dry Lounge in Dear Clark and try out their new product line, which is made here in Texas. Smell is a big attractor to me, so when the products weren’t too floral and perfumy, they had my attention. Owner/Stylists Holly Dear and Kaycee Clark designed an apothecary-inspired line that is comprised of essential oils and natural ingredients, grown and crafted in the Lone Star state. They range in price from $22 for wash and rinse, to $24 for Smoothing Elixir, Thickening Balm (loved!) and Finishing Salve (double loved!)
My hair is long and can be rather heavy, so I was expecting the Thickening Balm and the Salve to weight my hair down once the stylist finished my blowout. Much to my surprise, my hair was light, bouncy, and felt even thicker. And the best part? No fibs…this blowout last me FIVE DAYS. Five days of no washing, no extra styling, no nothin’. I’m usually lucky if I make it two days with a blowout, but five?! It literally saved me five hours last week.
And did I mention the owners are cool and nice as can be-which just made me like the products even more! Nice people making nice things (in the U.S.A.) to produce nice hair. I’m sold.
You can visit the Dear Clark Salon in Dallas at 3317 McKinney Avenue, Suite 101, or you can order their products at dearclark.com.
(The salon also has a Braid Bar….and you’d better believe that’s next on my list!)
