I travel a moderate amount during the year…just enough to need great luggage and good organization. I have a few trips coming up that will require some excellent packing, so my first order of business was to find a toiletry bag that holds everything. I hate the idea of having to leave things at home that I may need, but not everything fit into the bag I’d been using. I was introduced to Lipault last week, luggage that is lightweight and colorful. Look at how pretty this green toiletry bag is! It’s a gorgeous shade of emerald, and has two zippers so you can open the bag from either end. When I tell you this bag can hold every item I need, I mean it. It holds my hair products, skincare, hair brush…heck, I can put my travel flat iron in there, too! I need a few more pieces of luggage, so I’ll let you know what other Lipault pieces I try. You can check out all their colorful goodies at Macy’s or online here.
Okay, let’s get to what I put inside. Here are a handful of new products that I love and want with me on every trip:
- Dew Puff. Have you seen these at Walgreens??? They are ahhhhmazing. Dew Puffs are face cleansing puffs that are made from 100% plant-based cleansing products. Dew Puff has only one ingredient, konjac root, also known as “elephant yam”. When you add water, the sponges become exceptionally soft, but will exfoliate in a gentle way. They have different kinds: my favorites are the Original and Bamboo Charcoal. All you have to do is get the sponge wet, add your cleanser, and once you’re done, there is a little string on the end so you can easily hang them up to dry. If you already use something like a Clairsonic, these little puffs will be your best friend when you travel because they weigh nothing and take up no space at all. They last an average of three months, so it’s a great value for the $8 cost!
- L’Oréal Air Dry It Ruffled Body Mousse. I’m not usually a fan of mousse because it tends to still leave my hair a frizzy mess. I applied the L’Oréal Ruffled Body Mousse to my damp hair without any other products, gave it a good scrunch and then let it air dry. My hair had body and texture, and I didn’t even have to use heat! This is a quick and low maintenance way to do your hair when you travel. Don’t leave home without it.
- L’Oréal Air Dry It Wave Swept Spray. Remember when you went to the beach and your hair was full of sea water? It dried into salty, soft waves that looked pretty but took NO effort at all. And that’s basically what this product does! Again, a life saver when traveling. Who doesn’t want to wake up to pretty waves and not have to spend time on styling tools?
- L’Oréal Visible Lift Radiance Booster. This is the primer you want in your bag. It’s a silky consistency, smooths your makeup beautifully, and adds radiance without sparkle. On a makeup-free day, I still love to smooth this on for a little extra glow. It’s just as lovely as the expensive primers you’ll see in stores, so this buy is more than worth the $8.
Now, I have to get to this adorable embroidered dress. I’ve never seen a dress with this much detail on it for $34! I know ordering something online without trying it on can be a gamble, but it’s worth gambling on this one. Important note: this dress is extremely sheer. I bought a full body slip in black to wear underneath it, and I’d advise you to do the same. It’s a gorgeous dress from Shein and looks more expensive than it is!
Happy Tuesday, friends…
