You know what? I goofed up.
Sometimes what an outfit looks like in my head is pretty cute, but when I put it on and take photos of it, I realize it isn’t quite as cute as I thought. This post is a prime example.
Striped shirt and green shorts? Makes sense. Black heels and black summer hat? Makes sense. Together? Not so much. So, as much as I love each individual piece, I have to say that I failed you on this particular outfit. The hat and heels would be darling with a midi skirt or pretty summer dress. And these shorts could probably use a cool pair of wedges or summer flats to go with them instead. Lesson learned? You can’t always squeeze a couple of looks into one and make it cohesive.
Since I’m too lazy to re-do this look, I’d rather just own up to my mistake. And here it is.

I think I may agree with your thoughts on this post, but that said, you still do look awesome! And all the individual pieces of the outfit are great too–awesome heels, cute hat, stripey top. I think you could keep everything the same but swap out the shorts for a skirt (same color, even) and it would be ideal.
