It’s about to get really, really cold all across the country. (Trust me, I work with a top-notch meteorologist, and he says it’s headed our way, America.) When it gets cold, we start to cover everything up. And that means we can sometimes neglect what our bodies look and feel like, since they are wallowing under all those layers. I am trying to proactively keep summer fitness momentum going by trying new workouts, and one that really kicked things up a notch was Core Fusion at Exhale Spa in Dallas.
Core Fusion is described as a ” heart-pumping, soul-seeking, energy-inducing fitness program focuses on core strength for the ultimate full body workout.” Um, yes. On all counts. My friend Emily and I went for the first time to Extreme Core Fusion not realizing we would be sweating and shaking through stations of weights, balls, bands, and using our own body weight as resistance. It was intense. It was hard. But it felt glorious once we were finished! (And I felt like I earned my lunch that day.)
The instructors are incredibly nice, the facility is beautiful, and the workout is REAL. My muscles felt the burn before and after, but I could tell that my abs were wondering why it had been so long since we’d put in that much effort. One major perk is the boutique inside that carries the ultra cute line of workout clothes, Sweaty Betty and awesome spa items like Tata Harper Skincare. Dallas isn’t the only Exhale location, either-Atlanta, Boston, New York, Miami and lots of other cities also have these amazing classes. I highly recommend dropping in to try it out. Even though we’re covering it all up…we still know what it looks like underneath. Let’s keep it toned all winter long so when spring rolls around, it’s ready for public viewing!
