Even though it’s technically time for fall clothes, it’s still so warm all over the country that you can get away with bare shoulders and legs. My solution? Just wear fall colors!
I love this fall romper from Lion & Witch. (Lion & Witch just got in all kinds of gorgeous new fall items, so if you live in the Dallas area, you should head there today before your size is gone!) This romper is super easy to throw on and go, plus you can dress it up or down with your jewelry and shoes. I wore it to work, to a blogger meeting, and to my Micropen treatment at Unit Skin Studio in Dallas. The office is so California-chic; check out the pics of their gorgeous lobby!
Unit Skin Studio recently opened its doors, and the Micropen procedure was one of the first things I couldn’t wait to try. Unit Skin Studio performs all kinds of cutting edge procedures (PRP Therapy, laser resurfacing, chemical peels,) plus the old favorites, like Botox and Juvaderm. I’m not at a point where I want to try injectibles, so something like Micropen interested me. It’s a really cool procedure (also known as collagen induction therapy,) and I was told it’s amazing at rejuvenating aging skin. My verdict? It IS amazing! Stacy (who was fantastic,) put me very at ease and numbed up my face for a few minutes. Then…. the entire procedure took about 30 minutes. And yes, it helped reduce my fine lines and wrinkles, shrink my pores, and tighten up my skin. Here’s how it works: the MicroPen is a micro-needling device that uses a sterile tip in a stamp-like motion to make extremely small holes in the outer layers of the skin. This stimulates collagen production to improve the appearance of your skin. You leave a little red-faced (like a mild sunburn,) and your skin will feel tight for several hours. No real downtime, though…I went out that night and the next day with no makeup on, and my skin looked incredible. It brought out my natural skin tones, and my skin looked smooth as glass. To keep it looking fresh, I’ve switched to a light mineral makeup for my on-camera makeup look.
After a few days, I started using Unit Skin Studio products on my face: first, Vitality. This is a combo of anti-oxidants powered by Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Ferulic acid ester. It brightened and smoothed my skin’s texture, and I think it’s starting to work on those fine lines! I’ve also been wearing Sole Defense + Bronzer, which is an SPF 25 bronzer based on natural melanin. Sole Defense + Bronzer it’s fragrance and DHA-free and gives you the coverage of a tinted moisturizer. I’m a big fan of Eye Complex and Sleep Tight before bed, so my skin is being treated right all night while I sleep. I’ve been using a few other products that I’ll tell you about once I get my next treatment…I’m pretty excited about the results I’ve seen so far!
