If you are an occasional visitor of my blog, you’ll notice I don’t get too creative with my hair….mostly from a lack of time to do something cool with it. Having long hair leaves lots of great options, but I lack the skills and time to do it justice. Enter Tangerine Salon in Preston Hollow (Dallas). Stylist Marshall Hatley took my hair on a wet, humid day, and created this fun look with braids…and it stayed put and looked fresh for three days!
What I loved about my visit to Tangerine is that it’s bright, airy, and relaxing. When you arrive and check in, they offer you several different complimentary services to go along with your appointment: neck/scalp massage, hand massage, scalp treatment, and others that I can’t even recall because I chose the first option and practically fell into a relaxed stupor. (It didn’t hurt that Marshall is also incredibly friendly and easy to talk to, so he put me at ease right away.) Tangerine is an Aveda Lifestyle Salon, which means they use Aveda products exclusively. The smell of those products is so fabulous, that the second I walked in the door at home, my husband wanted to know what scent I was wearing that day. They are that good.
Besides the Aveda coffee and tea they offer you while enjoying your service (I chose the yummy hot tea,) they also bring around refills and bites of chocolate. I can’t say enough great things about my experience. Marshall nailed the braided style, so if you’re looking for a stylist who can create wonders, he’s the guy you should ask for when making an appointment!
My hair was coiffed for an event I was headed to that night, which required cocktail attire. I chose this floral halter dress because I love the beautiful neckline…and the fact that it cost less than $30.(Plus, it’s got plenty of fabric on top, so going bra-less is an option.) Spring steal, I’d say!
