Flannel. I’ve had a love affair with it since I discovered men’s oversized flannel shirts were the comfiest things on earth. I used to wear my grandpa’s flannels, but now I’ve graduated to a more figure flattering version. This frayed flannel from Cloth & Stone is softer than a teddy bear stuffed with clouds and unicorn tears. You can buy the blue version here. (I love this brand because it fits true to size. It’s pretty easy to find at Belk and Anthropologie, too.)
My western booties have gotten a lot of wear the past several years because of how easy they are to pull on and go. If you invest in new boots this year, a sexy over-the-knee pair and a solid pair of booties are fantastic choices. I like to wear these when I travel because the low, block heel keeps my feet from feeling like they’ve been through World War 3 .
I can’t go anywhere without accessories, so I layered two of my favorite Miriam Merenfeld necklaces, wore my super cool Ona Chan Tigers Eye Bracelet, and simple gold hoop earrings. Flannel doesn’t mean there can’t be a little bling!
Finally, have you seen Essie’s fall nail colors? They have pretty shades of plum and blush, and I’ve been swapping out these colors on my toes. Just because I’m wearing boots more often doesn’t excuse my toes from dressing up, too. I feel incomplete without a pedicure, and these colors are extremely long-lasting. My current pedicure with Essie Gel Couture has lasted four weeks and counting-seriously!
Happy Friday, and get out and enjoy this beautiful fall weather all weekend long! xo
