Ah, brunch. It’s what Saturdays are made for. But not all brunches are created equal.
Take Gather Kitchen in Preston Center. You won’t find yourself laden with guilt after you brunch yourself silly there. Why? Because much like the elusive unicorn, brunch at Gather is healthy. Yes, actually healthy.
Which means you can indulge in an adult beverage without feeling like you’ve blown your diet. AND-you can get that adult beverage for free on Saturdays. You heard me right; brunchers will experience a special boozey bar station each Saturday. And it’s FREE. It literally costs zero dollars. Brunch babes can expect a variety, different each week, including a Sheela Tequila mixing station, a Beat Vodka Bloody Mary bar and other concoctions.
The Sangria bar from Sociology Wine will be complete with a variety of exotic fruits.
You can come casually comfortable. Plus, you can get your avocado toast fix AND have french toast. Is there anything better?
I actually tried both of those dishes last Saturday, along with the ridiculously delicious Matcha Latte, iced, thank youverymuch. The avocado toast is perfectly seasoned avocado on top of baked sweet potato “toast”, adorned with spinach and over easy egg. Healthy, yummy, and exactly what you need to kick off your morning.
The Classic Waffle was everything a waffle should be, with a choice of maple syrup or chocolate sauce for topping it off.
One of my favorites of the day was the Matcha Latte, iced instead of hot. It was one pretty (delish) beverage! My brunch date ordered the Gather Granola with almond milk, bananas, and strawberries, which by all accounts looked amazing. Once again, healthy at its tastiest.
She snagged one of their Blood Orange Holy Kombucha drinks, which means the drink and meal totally took care of her probiotic serving for the day.
I can’t wait to go back and try Warm Vanilla Oatmeal and the Plant Based Burrito next Saturday. Those are already calling my name.
Whether you live in Dallas or you’re just visiting, don’t feel relegated to brunch that leaves you feeling guilty about your food choices. Gather Kitchen has tons of healthy options, vegetarian friendly dishes, and a free booze bar to kick your weekend off right! I’ll save a chair for you.
