It’s the American holiday of Thanksgiving today. For the very first time, we are eating in a restaurant. We’ve always had the traditional home-cooked Thanksgiving meal, replete with sneaking a taste while no one was looking and Christmas music in the background. But this year, we are celebrating in a different way after twelve months of hard change, and that’s okay.
Since previous Thanksgivings consisted of stretchy pants and sweatshirts, this year I have to kick things up a notch. Since I’ll be venturing out into a public forum, I guess it’s time to don a nicer pair of stretchy pants and a lot more jewelry. I think black leather leggings from Nordstrom, a comfortable Forever21 sweater, and this vest are a good way to bridge the dress code gap. Oh, but with some Spanx underneath, so my food baby won’t show.
….Too much.
Happy Thanksgiving, American friends!
