I love the golden hour of the day right before sunset, when the glow is warm and beautiful. Gold is such an inviting color; I have started integrating more gold into my accessories since they work with any color. I wanted to highlight some of my favorite variations of gold and how you can add some into your life:
First, this gorgeous gold monogram tote from Initials, Inc. is my go-to laptop bag these days. This company offers a lot of different styles, colors, and patterns, but my favorite feature is that they offer free (and optional!) personalization. This bag is Vegan Faux Leather and has a “padded sleeve for tablets or laptops (up to 15 inches), key leash, and a sleeve designed to keep bottles (or lattes) upright”. If you’re a crossbody gal, it has a long shoulder strap, too. You can have 1-Letter, 2-Letter, and 3-Letter free personalization on the bag like I did!
Next on my gilded greats list are these super cute bracelets from KPR Creations. These gold plated and black Swarovski crystal beaded bracelets are stretchy and stackable, and look pretty with anything! I love the simplicity of them; they are lovely alone, or stacked with other metals. I sometimes wear mine with a large gold cuff, too. At only $23, these little gems are affordable and make for a nice way to treat yourself.
My blouse in this post isn’t exactly gold, but instead a dark, coppery gold with a hint of green. It’s an unusual color, which means you likely don’t have anything like it in your closet! You can “borrow” it from Rent the Runway if you aren’t sure if it’s for you long-term.
And last, but not least, these goodies aren’t gold in color, but good as gold when it comes to effectiveness. If you haven’t tried L’Oréal Infallible Long Wear Eye Pencils, you’re missing out on eye liner that doesn’t smudge or run or slide out of place. I sometimes have issues with eye liner transferring to my eye lid or smudging under my eyes, but this one doesn’t do any of that. In fact, I ran a few of the pencils over my wrist to see how long it would stay on, and after rubbing and wiping my wrist, it still stayed true. It wasn’t until my shower several hours later that it finally came off with some light scrubbing and cleanser. Super impressive! The dark neutrals are my fave, but that lavender color is just gorgeous!
To frame the rest of your eyes, the L’Oréal VOLUMINOUS® X Fiber Mascara is amazeballs. This mascara will make sparse lashes look thick, and thick lashes look luscious! I have made no secret about the fact that L’Oréal’s Lash Paradise is now my numero uno mascara, but this one gives it a run for its money. This is a two step mascara, so if you’re a low maintenance, no fuss makeup lady, this extra step may not be for you. But if you like alotta glam, the lash primer-which is black and covers your lashes in a a dark, chocolatey coat- gives your lashes the extra oomph when it comes time to add the thicker real deal mascara. You won’t need extensions or falsies with this, trust me.
Until next time….
