I’m a long-wear lip girl. I don’t like reapplying lipstick over and over and over. I like a few simple swipes, gloss, and go. I don’t buy lipstick that doesn’t stay on for long periods of time….I hate fading lipstick! Bobbi Brown just came out with my newest girl crush…Crushed Lip Color. And honey, when I say this stuff stays on long but doesn’t dry out your mouth, I’m doing some truth-tellin’!
As a creature of habit, I like neutral lips for most days. So of course I went bananas for Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color in Angel, Cabana, and Bitten. (Check out the color on my lips in this post.) But when I realized that this lip stain of sorts isn’t too bright or too harsh, I got into the darker shades, like Cherry and Telluride (pinky brown). If you suffer with dry, cracked lips or you love wearing lip balm but want something with substantially more color, these lip colors were made for you. (Plus, if you hate the feeling of traditional lipstick on your lips, you will LOVE this formula. It feels sheer and barely there!)
Another beauty product on my radar is Aveda’s Texure Tonic, which reminds me a little of the beachy waves spray I was obsessed with as a teenager. Except this time, my hair doesn’t feel dry and crispy! I have fine, straight hair, so adding texture and volume is always the goal. I spray this on my damp hair after washing it and let it air dry overnight. When I wake up, my hair has more volume and texture, but still feels soft and I can run a brush through it! For women with curly hair, I’ve read reviews that this spray does wonders for curls, but I can’t personally comment on that. For your straight haired ladies, I can definitely tell you that it works. Once my hair is dry, I use a crimping iron on the “under roots” of my hair to add even more volume. Works wonderfully-especially on low humidity days!
And in case you’re wondering, this cute ruffle blouse is from Nicholas. I can’t get enough ruffles!
