It’s no secret that I love things that can pull double duty…foundation that doubles as SPF, or a handbag that can expand from a clutch to a tote. It’s nice to have items that look good and save you time, which is why I love street style outfits with a little athleisure thrown in there. You can look styled out, but still be comfortable all day.
This look is an homage to that very principal; look put together, but completely comfy. It’s the middle of winter, so a jacket is a necessity, and I have a somewhat unhealthy obsession with Veda brand jackets. It’s like these babies were designed for petite girls, because they fit like a glove. I love this sparkly, rose gold colored one because it’s professional enough for my work, but looks cool for going out, too.
I paired it with a simple black turtleneck (very thin cotton so I don’t get overheated with the jacket on over it,) and a worn-in pair of distressed skinny jeans. If your work is more formal, skip the distressed, torn jeans and wear a cute black midi skirt like this one by adidas or dressy black jeans. But the real winner of this outfit is the shoes!
If you haven’t ever tried on a pair of adidas Cloudfoam Pure Shoes, you’ve got to get some.
These shoes are some of the comfiest athleisure shoes!! Plus, they look super sharp, even with my work clothes. (My husband even commented on them, and he’s a shoe guy.) They come in a bunch of really great colors, but I went with the CloudWhite shade. The Raw Grey and Tech Steel colors have a denim-like look to them, which is super cool. The stretchy mesh makes the shoe fit really well, and then inside is a memory foam sockliner and Cloudfoam cushioning (and they are on sale for only $49!) You can walk all day long in these, and they feel amazing. But back to the outfit…I think they look great with street clothes. Who says an athletic shoe is only for workout gear? I think these made this outfit more fun without taking away the polished factor, which I love.
Do you have any athleisure pieces you wear to work? I love seeing how people incorporate their favorite athletic stuff into their everyday wardrobe. I’d love more inspiration on how to wear these Cloudfoam shoes, so hit me up with ideas!
