Ah, the feeling of fall has finally arrived in the South. And what better way to welcome the chilly air than with a warm, toasty fall vest? I’ve been a huge fan of vests over the years, puffy or otherwise, and this one from Avalanche has stolen my little autumn-lovin’ heart. Here’s why you might want to snag one, too:
- You adore the great outdoors. And hey, that means you might get chilly this winter while you’re out on a hike or walking the dog. A warm, insulated sherpa lined vest with pockets will keep you from getting chilled to the bone!

You like to buy things that are good for the environment. This Avalanche Serita vest is made with DuPont Sorona renewably sourced fiber. Contains 37% annually renewable plant based ingredients by weight. Pretty cool.
And….3. It’s reversible, so you can look sporty or a little more “fancy” with this vest when you switch it to the sherpa lined side. Great investment for around $80! (I wore the sporty style for these photos.)
Since it’s colder outside, naturally my skin starts to go haywire. No, seriously. HAYWIRE. With a cross between my severe allergies, the humidity quickly changing into crisp temps and a milk thistle detox I’ve been trying, my skin has decided to rage against me. I rarely have breakouts and flaky, dry skin, but the past two weeks have been ridiculously bad. I was given the chance to try Cyantific, which is a skincare line founded by a microbiologist. Here is what I LOVE about this line of skincare: it’s just three steps. THREE products. (Aren’t you sick of putting on 50 things?) And they all work together beautifully.
Here’s the goods: PhycoBoost™, their secret ingredient, contains the most powerful UVA-absorbing compounds known to exist in nature. According to their website, “these compounds are found in a pure and healthy form of blue-green algae sustainably harvested from the pristine lakes of the pacific northwest.” I have no doubt that’s true, but what I DO know for certain, is that the Nourishing Serum makes my skin feel tighter, the Hydrating Night Cream keeps my dry, patchy skin from showing up first thing in the morning, and the Protecting Daily Lotion keeps me from worrying about developing wrinkles or age spots while I’m enjoying the outdoors. I also trust the fact that these products are developed by a microbiologist, not a celebrity trying to start their own skincare line. I love finding products that do what they say they do, and Cyantific does just that. (Side note, you can get all three products for just $99, which I think is a steal.) If you have a skincare lover in your life, any one of these products makes a great gift.
I’m in the midst of a busier-than-usual week, but I will be back by Friday to share one more post before the weekend. See you then!
