Stripes are everywhere these days, and I really loved this black and white stripe dress with side tie. It’s incredibly comfortable and looks great with a pop of color from a handbag, pair of shoes, or both! You can’t ever go wrong with vertical stripes, since they are slimming and can make you look taller if you’re a shorty like me.
I haven’t brought out my bubble gum pink YSL bag in a while, so it was a nice touch against the neutral black and white. Pink always feels playful!
Now, on to the topic of this post…wrinkles. I’m getting them in record numbers, thanks to all those years in the sun without sunblock, a hat, or sunglasses. I could kick myself for being so lazy, but now the damage has been done and I have to deal with it the best way I know how. StriVectin has long been a skincare line I trust. I use it and my Mom uses it, too! They recently debuted a new product called Line BlurFector™ Instant Wrinkle Blurring Primer ($39), and I was instantly hooked. I only recently started using a primer as part of my regular makeup routine. I always thought it was an unnecessary step, but my sister showed me what a huge benefit primer gives you! This one in particular says it’s full of “optical blurring microspheres that scatter light to blur wrinkles and imperfections while also extending makeup wear.” Basically, it seals in your skincare benefits, while keeping your makeup looking fresh even longer than usual. It won’t settle into lines, but smooths over them. I put serums on first, then my moisturizer, and then StriVectin BlurFector. Your makeup looks more even and flawless, and those fine lines are glossed over. I’m a fan!
