Welcome to the easiest fall look I have in the closet: a lace up black dress and over the knee boots. This dress from Lion & Witch boutique in Dallas has gotten a lot of questions after I wore it on the show last week, so I wanted to feature it on the blog as well. It’s super simple, incredibly cozy, and under $80.
This post is one that I’ve been looking forward to because I can share some finds that have made me so happy…like these cool rings from Enso Rings (c/o). Doesn’t my copper ring look so shiny and lovely? You would never guess by looking at it, but it’s actually not copper! It’s a flexible alternative made of silicone, which means it’s lightweight, hypoallergenic, and won’t cause a mental breakdown if it gets damaged or lost. Enso became a popular wedding ring alternative, but now they have so many pretty fashion options that I had to give them a try. I stacked the Elements Thin copper ring with the Obsidion thin band (only $11.99), but they both look pretty worn alone. There are a lot of fun colors, like turquoise, lavender, and peach, too. (Christmas gift idea: I am planning on buying one for my husband to wear at the gym and for travel purposes so his real wedding ring can stay safe.) Enso Rings also gives a portion the money of each ring sold to organizations around the globe working to solve problems like hunger, poverty, disease, and protecting our planet.
And if you like jewelry, you’ll like this. You may have noticed my beautiful Jord Wood Watch (c/o) has become a permanent fixture on my wrist, and now you can have a chance to get one for an amazing price. I’m having a contest, and it includes a $75 e-voucher for the winner, and everyone who enters gets a $20.00 e-gift card (excluding the winner, of course.) Here’s the link to register for the giveaway: https://www.woodwatches.com/g/hilarykennedy
The contest is live now, and will end Sunday 11/13/2016, so enter while you can!
A few more favs to touch on: my new Dolce Vita Myla Crossbody bag and the goodies I keep inside. I’ve been a collector of Dolce Vita bags for a while now, and this one is made of buttery soft leather with pretty gold, fringe, and braided accents. This is my go-to bag when I travel, attend concerts and outdoor events, and basically any time I’d like to be hands-free while wearing a lightweight bag. I love my large handbags, but it’s nice to take a break from the bulk and heaviness of them and carry something light like the Myla. Inside my bag? Take a peek at my “cat eye” necessities:
–L’Oreal Voluminous Feline Mascara ($8.99) for instant volume and full lashes (that look like they could be fakes!)
–L’Oreal Voluminious Liner Noir ($9.99) for a perfect, precise cat eye
Why Do I Love Them?
- Mascara has a quick-charge brush to deliver instant volume and fullness
- Glossy black color for shiny smooth lashes in one coat (not clumps!)
- Suitable for sensitive eyes
- Liner has an ultra-fine tip to get the line straight and perfect
- The shape of the pen gives you more control when lining your eyes
Plus, these two stay on all day and don’t smudge like some of the other products I’ve used. These are a homerun! (I’ve linked these items to ULTA, because you can use your ULTA coupon to save even more $$ on your purchase, AND they have L’Oreal Buy One, Get One for 50% now through the end of the month.)
Happy Shopping!
