I don’t know about you, but sometimes I get self-conscious wearing something super form-fitting. I don’t know if it’s the conservative Southerner in me, or the fact that I’m embarrassed at how many tight things I wore in college (thinking it looked sexy, which it didn’t,) but I don’t like to show too many curves at once on a regular basis. Like many women, I’ve got hips for days and my backside isn’t lacking, so keeping things in balance is key.
All that being said, I don’t want to shy away from a spectacular dress when it comes calling, either. So in this case, I decided that leather weather could be my solution. Now that we have chillier days, the leather jacket is the perfect accessory to a bodycon dress. The dress is from my new favorite boutique, Aftershock London, which also has more cool shrugs, jackets, boleros, and sequined ponchos than you can imagine. But since I already had this black leather number hanging in the closet, I threw it on over this colorful piece and decided to call it a day. I think it serves as an stylish way to keep all the tools fitting nicely in the box.
