It may be officially fall, but it’s still pretty warm where I live. I can squeeze in a few more sleeveless dresses before a cool front moves in next week, so I wanted to wear this coral mesh dress from Lion & Witch boutique. (Just a heads up: Lion & Witch has an amazing new shipment of fall clothes and accessories, and you don’t have to live in Dallas to take advantage. You can order anything you see from their store by emailing or calling them!)
This dress is very body-con, but my favorite feature is the strip of mesh at the bottom. Isn’t it pretty? It’s these little details that make an entire outfit for me. Simple, classic, and with a twist.
My turquoise necklace isn’t really a necklace at all…it’s a necklace, a bracelet, a ring…heck, you can wear it as a belt! UNO’s patented magnetic jewelry system allows you to create an infinite number of styles. All their jewelry pieces can be interchangeable and either worn alone or connected to other pieces through magnet clasps. I wore this one as long necklace for this post, but I wrapped it around my wrist as a bracelet the day before. They are $15/each, and they are really cute stacked up together, or worn alone for a simple outfit accent like I did here. This is a great present for that friend who already has everything!
The finishing touches on this look: my hair, styled with Aveda Thickening Tonic (to give my hair fullness and the appearance of thicker hair,) and Aveda’s Shampure Dry Shampoo for volume. Can I just brag about how great this stuff makes my hair smell? Besides working very well for my hair, Aveda products are some of my very favorite because of their fair compensation practices…everyone deserves a fair wage for their work, and this company makes that a priority.
Last, but not least, is my Essie Gel Couture “Model Clicks” nail lacquer. It’s a gorgeous aubergine wine color that I’ve been wearing on my toenails for fall. It’s deeper than eggplant, but a less “goth” look than wearing a black polish. This polish stays on me easily for two weeks without chipping. It’s incredible!
That’s it for this Monday. Have a wonderful week, friends.
