It’s the best time of year to discover new things; everywhere you look, there are new goodies to be had. I’ve narrowed down a few that caught my eye and made my “hot list”…products that actually do what they say they do, save you money, or just rock my socks!
Let’s start with #1: Customized Girl. This company has a cool assortment of blank apparel that you can customize with your own text and art. They have Christmas designs in case you’re wanting something custom for your holiday cards, or fun designs for expecting moms, sports teams, couples, etc. I chose to create something to show off our love of Kansas, my husband’s home state. We both have a deep affection for Kansas, so I ordered an oversized sweatshirt for me, and a regular tee for him. We couldn’t be happier with how they turned out!
#2. Derma E. I’ve been enthralled with face oils for several years now, and they seem to be one of the only things that hydrates my skin regardless of the weather at all times. Derma E sent me three awesome products to try: Illuminating Rosehip & Cranberry Face Oil ($16), Radiant Glow Face Oil by SunKissAlba ($22.50), and Tea Tree and Vitmain E Oil ($14.95). The Illuminating Rosehip & Cranberry Face Oil is magic for problem skin. It helps hydrate without making your skin oily, which is amazing. Even if you’re plagued with breakouts, this stuff is going to help clear them up and keep your skin feeling soft. Plus, the scent is lovely.
The Radiant Glow Face Oil is a real gem. It adds the prettiest dewy glow! On the days you don’t want to go the extra step with highlighter, this will do the trick for you naturally. A little goes a looooong way, so you don’t need much to achieve super soft skin and a glow that looks natural and gorgeous.
The Tea Tree & Vitamin E Oil is something I’ve been wanting for a while now. They call it their “medicine kit in a bottle”, because this stuff does everything. It cam treat skin conditions like cuts, scrapes, blemishes, fungal issues, ringworm, blisters, rashes, insect bites, poison ivy, dermatitis and eczema. Tea Tree clears blemishes and fights bacteria. According to their site, it also “helps dissolve insect toxin in existing bites to stop itching and aid healing.” Besides doing all those things, it’s a natural remedy: 100% vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, mineral oil-free, lanolin-free, gluten free, GMO-free. AWESOME.
#3. Perricone No Makeup Collection. Ah yes. Finally! A line of “no makeup” that actually provides coverage while still looking natural! I’m already a big fan of Perricone, but this collection has made me a devotee. Once you try the No Makeup Foundation ($60), you’ll wonder where it’s been all your life. This looks so good, people won’t even think you have foundation on. It’s filled with SPF and all the good stuff you expect from Perricone products. Total win.
The No Blush Blush ($35) and No Bronzer Bronzer ($35) are two more winners. The blush fades beautifully into the skin for a rosy glow…no dry, powdery blush to deal with. All you need is a few small drops! The bronzer is also another truly natural-looking bronze for the face. It blends easily and doesn’t fade once it’s on all day. It will give you a “vacation sunshine” glow. (You can add drops of it to your foundation, too! I like to mix them together.)
The No Makeup Instant Blur ($55) is something everyone needs in their makeup bag. It’s a totally invisible primer with Alpha Lipoic Acid. This little compact makes your pores look tiny again! It’s like airbrushing your face, but in real life. Seriously. And in case you care, it won some awards. 🙂
The final hot list item is the Perricone No Makeup Lipstick ($30). This is actually a lip serum, so it keeps your lips soft and looking youthful. I suffer from dry lips, so this baby is a great way to keep them soft during the day, but enjoy a realistic looking lip color.
That’s the hot list! Hope you find something you want to try.
