Those that know me are aware of my crazy work hours…I get up for work at 2:00 a.m. during the week. Looking awake has been something I’ve wrestled with since taking this job almost three years ago. I don’t have time to press cold spoons to my eyes, and many of the products I’ve tried that claim to shrink puffiness either don’t work, or only last for an hour at best. I’ve recently become a fan of Nerium, and they just came out with something that has rocked my world. The Eye-V Moisture Boost is brand new; it just hit the market last week. And boy, does it make looking awake seem like the easiest thing in the world!
Let’s talk cost: $40 gets you five patches. I’ve found that I need the patches in a handful of instances:
- After staying up waaaaay too late on a “school night” and I have to shoot the show immediately the next morning.
- After a long flight or day of travel in the car.
- When I eat something with too much salt.
- My seasonal allergies flare up and cause my eyes to become puffy and swollen.
First things first; you can wear these in public. Yes, it’s true. They are clear and highly adhesive, so if you’re in a pinch and need to de-puff quickly but don’t have 20 minutes to sit and wait for the effects to show up, you can wear them out in public. Here’s what’s so special about these patches: they aren’t sticky, they feel good (I put mine in the fridge to make them cool,) and I never have to worry about them falling off or peeling off prematurely. The patches are soothing because they are full of goodness like aloe, green tea, glycerin (smoothes the area around the eye,) and lavender extract. I can’t think of a single person who won’t benefit from keeping the Eye-V Moisture Boost Patches in their bathroom or fridge for de-puff emergencies and to look more awake before a special event, work presentation, or a big date. Five star rating!
Now, let’s talk athletic clothes. Doesn’t it seem like workout outfits have gotten insanely expensive lately? I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to pay $100 for a sportsbra. I save those dollars to get a rockin’ pair of athletic shoes, like these Nike Hurraches that I scored from SIX:02. A good friend, Dawn McCarthy who is an amazing beauty and lifestyle expert from Los Angeles turned me on to these cute workout clothes from JC Penney! Not only are these really fun, but they are so budget friendly that’s it’s ridiculous. These color block mesh leggings are less than $22! And the matching sportsbra is only $11.99. Talk about a steal! And I have to be honest and say that these leggings are some of the best I own….even better than some I paid $60 or more for. I browsed JC Penney online to see what other athletic pieces they have, and a lot of them are on sale right now. Thank you, Dawn, for turning me on to a new place to get workout wear!
My workout bag needed a serious upgrade, too, so I have been using my monogram Loka Loka Boutique Tarcila bag in vegan leather as my gym tote. This bag can be customized with your initials, words, and the colors you want, which I love. It’s very durable, too. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve used the snap in clutch feature inside, too. Check out their super cute Instagram page here.
Have a lovely Monday, friends!

Love those hydrogels! They are a favorite of mine. The effects last for close to a week. Such a great deal for busy moms such as myself.
