Ah, Santa Barbara. If you’ve never been, you’re missing something special. I spent a few days there exploring the awesome shops on State Street, watching the harbor seals, and eating deliciously healthy food. And the style there? Casual, comfortable, and worthy of spring break.
This neon pink skirt is really business in the front, party in the back. (Meaning the back is actually a pair of shorts.) I chose this as a must-pack travel item because they look cool with heels OR flats, meaning I can dress them up or down while I’m away. Two outfits in one!
The day we shot these photos the wind was blowing pretty hard, so my solution was a sleek sock bun. It ends up looking differently every single time I try this style, but as long as it stays put and the sock isn’t visible, I’m happy. (I don’t care that some style experts say the sock bun should die. If it’s easy and saves you from having to style your hair for a day at the beach, I say, do it.)
Right after we finished these photos, we grabbed dinner at the Natural Cafe on State Street, which I highly recommend. An order of Cabo Fish Tacos and a Blue Sky soda later, the sun had gone down over the ocean like a melting gold disco ball. It was spectacular.
