This dress! Isn’t it lovely? I was obsessed the moment I saw it. It’s a deep nude shade that isn’t quite blush and isn’t quite camel…it’s somewhere in the glorious middle. I love it! (It’s still in stock at Lion & Witch in Dallas…order yours by contacting them.)
My dilemma? How to wear the low-cut style without showing all the goods. I don’t wear a lot of low cut dresses, and I tend to err on the side of modesty, but this dress was an exception. I had no idea how to keep everything covered properly until I discovered Boob Glue by Bosom Couture. The name is hilarious; I couldn’t even look at the bottle without giggling. It’s a product you feel like you need to whisper about to friends, but it’s actually one of the most useful products I have in my arsenal now. I can’t count the number of dresses I have that require Boob Glue. Oh, and those low-cut halter tops and tube tops that won’t stay up? This can fix those, too. This adhesive roll-on helps you position your breasts exactly where you want them to be, and they stay put! You can wash the adhesive off easily with soap and water. (It even helps you stay positioned in your bikini top so your apples aren’t rolling out of the barrel.) This is great to have on hand when attending formal events, weddings, or for the everyday dress like this one. I now know exactly how celebs keep everything in place on the red carpet!
Another secret of celebs I didn’t know until recently? Revision Skincare. It’s available from better dermatologists, but I wasn’t aware of the brand until I attended a luncheon with the scientists behind it. I also ended up sitting next to a lady who has been using it faithfully for years and couldn’t quit raving about how it saved her from deep neck wrinkles. When I heard it wasn’t tested on animals either, I was on board with giving it a try. I decided to start with Intellishade, their SPF-filled, anti-aging tinted moisturizer. I love that the product comes in both Matte and Original, so I use Matte for work (to keep me from looking shiny on camera), and Original for my personal time when I want a dewy glow. My verdict? It’s easy to use, natural looking, and worth every penny. Does it cost a bit more than some tinted moisturizers out there? Yes. But it stays on all day, covers beautifully and even covers up scars and discoloration. It doesn’t have a smell and even stays on well in water. You can read the glowing reviews on Amazon and know this is the real deal. It doesn’t look heavy and you won’t look “made up”. You’ll just look like a fresher version of yourself…protected by SPF.
Another week, another countdown to Friday…and I hope your Memorial Day holiday starts off great!
