We’re right in the thick of summertime, which means it’s so hot that birds are using oven mitts when picking up worms from the ground. To beat the heat, I’m taking the next train (well, okay, I’m actually taking a road trip,) to the mountains. Since dressing up isn’t as common where I’m headed, I’m enjoying this last week of heels and handbags before making my way into the woods.
This post was a lot of fun to shoot because Dasani asked style bloggers to create summer style posts based on their new Dasani Drops, which are flavor enhancers for your water. They come in mouth-watering flavors, like Pineapple Coconut and Pink Lemonade. These are especially great to take with you to the pool or on those days when you wish you were drinking a fruity libation but know you need to hydrate with good, old fashioned water. I’ve been trying to drink more water this year, which was a tough change because I had a habit of ordering soda. But, once I made the switch and began carrying water with me wherever I went, I noticed I felt better and slept better at night. Plus, your skin glows! With the Dasani Drops, I can mix things up and flavor my water to keep me craving the stuff that is good for my body.
Now for my inspiration items: this dress is a great find from Zara….it’s a deep cobalt blue, with zipper detailing. I paired it with my favorite pair of Brian Atwood pumps that my fashion-forward Mom gave me for my birthday! Printed shoes are a must-have in your closet-they take any boring solid and instantly create a new outfit. (I am a huge Brian Atwood fan because the colors and prints are always something that get your feet noticed.)
One more day until I trade my heels in for hiking boots….and pack my Dasani Drops in my backpack!
