Lion & Witch Dress / Louboutin Leopard Heels / Ricochet Fringe Bag c/o / Charlotte Tillbury Eye Shadow, Blusher, Bronzer c/o / Butter London Nail Lacquer c/o / Black Lace Camisole
Fall colors have me all giddy inside…I love the darker, smokier colors of the season. This B. York oxblood-colored dress is one of the most comfortable fall styles-it’s got a bit of stretch, it’s super soft, and it doesn’t cling uncomfortably to your body. Plus, did you see the cute gold buttons on the sleeve? It’s got a Beatles vibe to it, and I’m feelin’ it. They have it at Lion & Witch; you can visit the boutique or call and order it!
To go along with all those pretty fall colors, I tried out Charlotte Tilbury cosmetics for the very first time. I’d seen the brand many times when I was out shopping, but this time I took the plunge. Can I just tell you how much I love it?! The packaging alone is sleek and chic. There is something so satisfying about displaying beautiful cosmetics on your vanity or pulling them out of your purse for a touch up. Now, my review of the products:
The Luxury Palette of Colour Coded Eye Shadows (this one is Dolce Vita) came with four beautiful fall shades. It went on smoothly, didn’t crease, and had just enough shimmer to make my eyes look awake. I like that there is minimal “sparkle”, since I don’t use a lot of shimmer and shine on my lids for my everyday makeup. It’s the perfect compromise between matte and full-on sparkle.
I also tried the Cheek to Chic Swish & Pop Blusher and Filmstar Bronze & Glow that includes a face sculpt and highlight. Unbiased assessment? These are some of the best face cosmetics I’ve ever used! The blusher is perfect for building up a nice rosy glow; it isn’t too harsh or bright. (Did you notice there are two shades of pink in it?) The bronzer (as you can see from the pic above,) is subtle and ideal for contouring. The highlight is especially pretty, because it isn’t glittery. (I hate highlighters that make you look like a disco ball.) It adds the perfect amount of light-catching shimmer that makes cheekbones stand out. These are two tools that every woman needs in her arsenal. (Quick tip: I add the highlight to the inside corner of my eyes and a touch right above the eyebrows on the outer corners.)
Though I’ve been sporting a dark nail color, I’ve opted for a more neutral look on my toes. Butter London has my go-to neutral shade, which is Shop Girl. The color is a light opaque beige with tons of shine. If you ask Santa for one small thing to go in your stocking this year, this should be it. You’ll use it more than you ever expected, I promise.
