I just returned from a fantastic trip to Philadelphia with my Mom, which is an amazing city! I’d spent time in the beautiful state of Pennsylvania before, but had never been in the City of Brotherly Love. Can I just say how friendly everyone was? (Of course, I made sure to keep the fact I’m from Dallas Cowboy country to myself.) The city was beautiful- resplendent with rich history, architecture, and delicious food. One stop that is a must-see is the Philadelphia Museum of Art, which houses the famous steps from the movie “Rocky”. If you’re heading that way this time of year, pack warm items to layer. The wind can be chilly in Philly, but luckily there are Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts on practically every corner.
I hope to see more of the museums and old churches/historical landmarks next year, but it was an exceptional first trip. Though it’s still a bit wintry there, I found a way to incorporate spring colors and stay toasty at the same time. Tanzanite is a stunning color in the “radiant orchid” family, and you’ll be seeing it more this spring. It looks amazing with mint, blue, yellow, and especially eye-catching paired with black. I love the button detail on this particular tanzanite blouse from Apricot Lane….it gets me excited for warmer, brighter days!
