Today’s post is a round up of a few of my favorite things this month. If you’ve seen me out and about offline, then you’ve seen me carrying this gorgeous vegan leather tote bag with my monogram on it! It’s from an awesome Dubai company called Loka Loka Boutique, and they personalize their products with your name, initials, whatever! I have a few friends and family members who purchase only vegan products, and it can be tough (and sometimes expensive), to do it a world that isn’t always focused on cruelty-free products. I love that Loka Loka offers vegan leather as an alternative, and does it in a huge array of colors! One more cooll about this Tarcila bag? There is a detachable clutch/wallet that snaps inside. You can unsnap it and take it on the go when you don’t want to carry around a full tote, which is an awesome bonus. (By the way, it’s also monogrammed, so you can take your cute initials with you on the clutch, too!) The clutch has plenty of pockets for your cell, keys, gum, money, small cosmetics….the Loka Loka bags basically cover all your bases. I have the Bermuda Bay color, but you can get other fun colors and classic neutrals as well. These bags are awesome, and if you’re getting married, I think they would make a cool bridesmaid’s gift.
Next on the list of favs this month is Maggie Snaps. I’ve written about Maggie Snaps before, but they keep coming out with new styles and uses, so I had to mention them again. I never thought I’d use a small set of magnets as much as I’ve used these! They have been selling out like crazy on HSN. You can use them to hem, to snap closed, to create a new look-but there is no sewing involved. (I’ve even used mine to hem my drapes at home!) I showed you before on the blog how I used Maggie Snaps to snap my kimono closed, but this time, I used them to create a button for my Loka Loka bag! When carrying my tote through the airport, I have to run it through security. Since it doesn’t have a closure on the tote, I used my snaps to create one so my contents don’t spill out. You can use these babies for practically anything: closing a tent while camping, fixing a torn hem, keeping a low-cut blouse closed…the list goes on. If nothing else, order one set to keep on hand in case of an emergency!
The last favorite this month is something really sweet and special. Kind Notes is a keepsake jar filled with sweet notes to brighten someone’s day. You can choose from their pre-written sentiments, or you can personalize the notes with your own. The pre-printed messages have categories including love, friendship, inspirational, sympathy and more. If you create your own, you can write memories you’ve shared, thoughts, dreams. (Maybe even a cute way to propose, guys!) What I like about Kind Notes is that it works for so many different people: it can be a romantic gift, birthday present, something sweet for an anniversary, get well gift, client appreciation gift, employee appreciation gift, etc. I love the joy of opening an old-fashioned letter, since it’s all about emails and texts these days. These go for less than $40, and it’s one of the most thoughtful gifts you’ll ever give.
I hope you like these favorites. Come back on Friday for a new post!
