I’m a lover of all things gold: rose gold, white gold, yellow gold…all of it. So this post is dedicated to the pretty gold things in my life right now!
Let’s start with my ultra-comfy brushed gold metallic sneakers, shall we? The gold color looks really, really good next to neutral leathers and cool side zippers. And when I say I will be wearing the heck out of these for the rest of the year, it’s because they are like walking on a pillow. I expected Off the Beaten Track to make comfortable shoes, but I was actually stunned by how soft and luxurious these shoes feel. Not only do they look edgy and fun, but I can legitimately wear them ALL day long without my feet hurting. If you’re a sucker for gold like I am, you’ll want to take a peek at these, which by the way, is the Sewell in Elmwood sneaker. I love them!
Yellow gold is another color that warms my heart, especially when it’s done with pretty stone accents. Which is why I had to show you my Leonardo D’Almagro Agate ring! Isn’t this beautiful? I love the unique design of a flat round agate ring…it’s a traditional stone with a modern twist on it! For only $50, I can’t think of a better deal. I’ve already worn it so many times that it’s become part of my jewelry routine. It has a baked lacquer finish that protects the metal from turning or tarnishing, which is awesome. (Don’t you hate it when your favorite piece of jewelry turns a crazy color after a few years? Leonardo D’Almagro’s pieces don’t do that.) If you’re looking for something super unique for just a little more, check out his Amber Prong Set Cocktail ring. It’s spectacular, too.
I’ll round out the gold love fest with rose gold, which has quickly climbed my list of loves. I have a rose gold clutch, a rose gold necklace, a rose gold ring, and now…rose gold makeup brushes! I’ve noticed that when I swap out my makeup brushes every year, my makeup looks better, lasts longer, and the application goes on much more smoothly. (For those of you who use real hair makeup brushes or have a super expensive set, obviously you shouldn’t be tossing yours every year. But for the rest of us, the less expensive versions need to be replaced more often.) I stumbled on to mymakeupbrushset.com, which is like walking into a mall made up of onlymakeup brush stores. It’s amazing! You can find brushes of any kind, any color….it’s pretty darn awesome. I locked eyes with this Princess Brush set in rose gold, and it was all over. I knew I had to have it. The set includes:
*Buffer Brush (this brush feels so nice!)
- Face Paint Brush
- Cheek Finish Brush
- Smudger (necessary for a perfect smoky eye)
- Smoky Shader
- Wing Liner Brush (where has this been all my life?!)
- Brow Brush
And guess what? It’s under $15. For reals, ladies. Plus, everything ships within 24-48 hours, 100% Money Back Guarantee, and will be delivered within 1-2 weeks. These make a good gift for the makeup maven in your life…I gave the Oval Brush Set as Christmas gifts last year, and people really loved them.
Okay, hopefully you find my recommendations as good as gold. Until next time…
