Ah, summer. Not only is it hotter, but it’s also my birthday! One thing I really needed for the upcoming heat wave was a new pair of sunglasses. I have a classic Dior pair that my Mom bought me a few years ago that I love, but I wanted to expand my collection from classics only (you know, the glam round shades and gold and silver aviators,) and throw in a few trend items. I bought a fun, neon pink pair that I’ve only been brave enough to wear to Saturday brunch and alone in my car….I feel a little silly with them on, but they are too cute to keep in the case all day.
Speaking of sunnies, I recently contributed with a group of style experts for a Fox News post that is a MUST read for anyone who is buying a pair for the summer. Knowing which style suits your face shape, age, and lifestyle is important stuff. I used to think that your face shape and lifestyle didn’t matter when it came to choosing accessories, but the older I get, the more I see the value in making investments that flatter. You don’t see many celebs (well, at least the ones with a good stylist,) choosing things haphazardly. They choose styles based on how it will ultimately flatter them to the photogs and the public. Why shouldn’t we do the same?
