Spring Break…it’s literally a handful of weeks away, and I can’t wait! There’s something so rejuvenating about this time of year; flowers in bloom, sandals back in stores, and longer days of sunshine. 🙂
You may have seen the “shredded” trend popping up everywhere for spring. Although my Grandmother would tell me how mortified she would’ve been wearing clothes with holes at my age, I can’t help but think this is actually cute look! Torn holes in strategic places is a little sexy, a little edgy, and a whole lot of fun when the weather warms up. I went simple with this black dress from SheIn, since it’s an inexpensive way to try out a trend before deciding if it’s for me. You can get this dress for $13!
My pale skin also needs some refreshing for spring, so I have been trying out Fake Bake Sunless products for the past two weeks. My favorites are the 5 Minute Mousse and the Airbrush Instant Self Tan. These products come with a mitt to apply the product, and the Airbrush Instant Self Tan spray gives your skin an instant golden tan without your blocking pores with stickiness. It dries fast, but you can expect it to fully develop in a few hours into a natural looking tan. The Five Minute Mousse is for those days when I need to be bronze fast and don’t have a few hours to wait. My biggest concern with quick self-tan formulas is that they will end up all over my clothes. This this non-transfer formula dries quickly and didn’t rub off on even my lightest dress, which is HUGE! Though you see an instant color, a long lasting tan will continue to develop. So, even after you shower off, there will be a tan left for you to wear the next day! I loved these products, and I hope you give them a try. The smell, the feel, the finished product…I couldn’t be happier.
Okay, I’m super excited to talk about a new cosmetic/skincare company that has given me all the feels. Erin’s Faces has some of the loveliest products I’ve ever used. The founder, Erin, lists all her ingredients so you know exactly what is in the products you’re putting on your body. The Goddess Lip Gloss is petrochemical and paraben-free, and it’s an All-Natural Mineral gloss that looks pretty over your lipstick or even alone. The Goddess color especially has the prettiest shimmer (NOT glitter), and it’s one of the most moisturizing lip glosses I’ve ever tried that stays put for a long, long time! The ingredients include Shea Butter, Castor Seed and Jojoba Oils, Chamomile and Grapeseed Extract…all the good stuff and none of the bad stuff you shouldn’t be ingesting.
Another Erin’s Faces product I tried out this week is the delicious-smelling Monoi Tiare Oil. This little roller ball does it all: facial moisturizer, massage oil, safe as a baby oil, fragrance, cuticle oil…what can’t it do? What does it smell like, you ask? Tiare Flowers (a cousin of Gardenias) with a hit of Coconut! Though there is a bottle of the oil if you want more product, if you’re someone on the go the roller ball is a great thing to keep in your purse or desk drawer. (Side note: if you’re in a circle of friends or family comprised of vegans, this is an awesome gift since it’s vegan and paraben-free!) The Monoi Tiare Oil solidifies at 68 degrees, so you can run the bottle under warm water to return it to it’s oil state. I LOVE this oil!
Last, but not least, I wanted to stick with the natural theme and share a new goodie, The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalizing Eye Cream-Gel . If you feel like you look tired all the time or want to brighten up around your eye area, this stuff is an awesome little tub to keep in your arsenal. It goes on smooth and feels cool to the touch; I especially like the way it feels if I accidentally get too much sun and want to soothe my eyes. It’s nice and light…no heavy, sticky texture. Plus, all The Body Shop products smell heavenly! I think you’ll really like every product in this line, but I recommend starting with this one, because it’s awesome.
It’s finally Friday, so have a wonderful weekend!
