Tangerine Dress (on sale for $59!) / Purple Louboutins / Celine Nano /
Tangerine is such a happy color! I couldn’t help but smile when I saw this dress at Banana Republic, because it’s just about the happiest color there is. It’s an even brighter neon in person, too. You won’t be overlooked in this color, I guarantee it!
I like pairing unexpected colors together, so I chose lavender jewels and purple heels to compliment the tangerine hue. I’ve worn this Gryphon Laine Lavender Amythyst Gemstone Cuff so many times in the past two weeks that it’s starting to become a regular fixture in my look. This is a statement piece if I’ve ever seen one, but it’s got an enduring quality that works with modern and classic looks. Isn’t it lovely? (I paired it with my Gryphon Laine Amethyst Chip earrings and Miriam Merenfeld Lightening Bolt necklace-two of my favs!) The bracelet comes in several different kinds of stones, so it’s easy to find a color you’re looking for.
Now let me share with you my recent Aveda obsession. I’ve had limited experience using Aveda products, but I was always struck by how amazing they smell and the natural ingredients in them. Did you know that besides great hair products they also have cosmetics and goodies for the body, too? Here are some new finds I think you’ll like:
- Aveda Smooth Infusion Style Prep. When we took these photos, it was misting rain outside. I was worried about how the humidity would affect my hair, but I had Aveda Smooth Infusion to protect my waves and keep my style locked in. This product makes styling faster and protects against damage from my constant heat styling. (Plus, smells amazing!)
- Aveda Apricot Whisper Face Accents. This bronzer/blush is easy to apply and looks fresh and bright. You can’t really see the sparkles in it, but it reflects the light beautifully. You’ll love this color for spring.
- Aveda Beautifying Composition Oil ($30). I was surprised by how many uses there are for this awesome oil. First, it smells heavenly. You can use it for sealing in moisture after bathing for dry skin, hair and your scalp. I also love using this after a my laser hair removal treatments, waxing, on my cuticles, and remove my waterproof mascara. Did you know you can add a few drops to your regular lotion for extra moisture and a better scent? I’m also letting my husband try it as a beard oil to soften his beard. There are limitless uses for this stuff!
I hope you give some of these a try. There’s no animal testing and Aveda has ethical principals, so it’s a feel-good purchase!
