When I have something in mind that I need to find, like a cocktail dress or in this case, a cool new pair of sneakers, it can be challenging to surf a million websites or comb through a ton of stores at the mall. I like to find a variety of choices from different stores all in one place! When I heard about a new site called Octer that does all that for you, I checked it out. Their site says “Octer is a unique marketplace of the biggest US stores where you can shop departments or shop by store. From fashion to gadgets we instantly compare thousands of brands and show you the nearest matches; so you’ll always get the perfect style & price and discover products from stores you hadn’t considered before.” Where have you been all my life?!
I needed a new pair of white sneakers to wear on casual days, so I went to Octer looking to see what I could find. I stumbled upon this white pair with metallic accents from a store called Dorothy Perkins, which I’d never even heard of. Not only did I find the shoes I’d been looking for, I found them for way less than I’d expected! I love this pair because they are comfortable and super cute. (You can find them here.)
While I’m on a “try new things” kick, I wanted to give my oral care a makeover. I ashamedly admit that I use the same toothbrush for much longer than I should, and I have continued to use a toothpaste that I hate the taste of because I’ve been too lazy to replace it. Tulip is a new oral care delivery service designed to give you aesthetically pleasing toothpaste, floss, and a toothbrush with a strip of charcoal bristles to keep teeth white and breath fresh. For only $12, every two months a new set arrives at your house. You don’t have to think about how long you’ve had your toothbrush or remember to go to the store to get more floss and paste. It just shows up like magic! (You can pre-order now.) The mint paste has a very light, fresh taste, and hey, it’s pretty darn cute packaging, too. There is also a Coconut Mint Flavor! (Right now all three products come as a set, but in the future you may be able to order individual items.) I did the math, and it’s more affordable for me to use Tulip every two months than buy each of those items individually from the store. So, I’m sold!
