There are a few restaurants that I can eat at over and over and over again and never get tired of the menu or the atmosphere, and Bois d’Arc in Paris is one of them.
Have you ever been to Paris? If you’re thinking you need to speak French when you visit, don’t worry. It’s Paris, Texas, and they only speak the language of hospitality. It’s a small, quiet town rich with antiques, kindness, and local Texas flavor. The fine dining at Bois d’Arc is one of the reasons to make the trek there….even if you aren’t from the Lone Star state. From the inventive menu to the charm of a converted garage, if you like unique and memorable experiences, then you want to check out Bois d’Arc and the second best Paris in the world. (The Tres Leches Creme Brulee is worth the trip alone.)
Oddly enough, you can find some great fashion in Paris, Texas…it might not be Chanel, but it’s there. I chose this simple dress and my favorite cobalt blue suede heels for dinner…though it’s still warm outside, I decided to try and find little ways to incorporate suede and leather to kick off the season!
Head to Paris and Bois d’Arc when you get the chance…you’ll leave with a full belly and antique treasures you won’t find in the big city. It’s a wonderful-affordable way to surprise friends and loved ones with a trip to “Paris”. (There is even an Eiffel Tower!)
