For the past few days, I’ve been soaking up sun in sunny L.A., and I can see why people flock to Los Angeles….the weather is simply amazing!
I had a few work things to do on this trip, including attending Lucky Fabb West and spending a few days in Santa Barbara. Try as I might, traveling light isn’t my strong suit. I have mastered the fine art of dressing comfortably for travel, however. I wish I could say I was one of those girls who gets on and off a plane looking like I’ve been professionally styled, but I typically dress simply and easily for travel. Lots of comfortable layers, a scarf that can double as a pillow on the plane, and shoes that can be removed quickly while going through the security line. Is it the cutest thing I could wear? No. But let’s face it; unless you’re headed straight to a meeting from the airport, travel is one time that comfort can supersede style.
And since I didn’t have a meeting first thing, I went straight from the airport to shop at The Grove and hit up the gluten-free bakery at the Farmers Market there. A great way to start the trip!
