This pink wool coat has been a good friend over the years, and I get asked about it every time I wear it. Though it’s more practical to buy a brown or black wool coat, this pink number has been a wonderful addition to my cold weather wardrobe!
I also recently added these tall, over the knee grey Dempsey boots by Vince, which I’d had my eye on all season long. They are actually very comfy since they have a stacked heel, and they can easily go over leggings and jeans. The day we shot these photos, it was bitterly cold and windy, so I pulled my hair into a high top-knot, which is a nice alternative to wearing a hat and getting “hat hair”.
On to how I am taking care of my skin this winter…Strivectin Multi-Action Restorative Cream is my new love. I try new products all the time looking for the next wonderful thing, and Strivectin doesn’t ever disappoint. There is a reason people have been solely devoted to Strivectin products over the years-they work. This cream feels rich and luxurious on the skin, and has a clean, fresh scent. But beyond the great feel, I was thrilled with how well it helps with fine lines, texture, and dullness! I am trying to beat the clock by taking extra special care of the fine lines around my eyes now, so later on I don’t feel the need to Botox and fill my face with synthetics. I also take super hot showers and keep the heater cranked up all winter long, so my skin looks dull and ashen most of the season. This cream has taken care of that, too! It’s a must-try if you are on a search for products that do what they say they can do.
One more recommendation: Lancome’s Audacity Palette and Artliner for eyes! I have been obsessed with this eye palette because of the pretty pastel colors and neutrals that I can wear with anything. It’s in such cute packaging that you will want to display it on your vanity for everyone to see. The Artliner is an awesome tool to get that pretty, inky black line that you just can’t get with a black pencil. I’ve always found liquid liner a bit tricky, but this one dries quickly and doesn’t run all over your face. Easy, pretty, and precise.
Winter is here to stay for a while, so it can’t hurt to start a routine with an effective cream like Strivectin’s Restorative and then punch up that pretty skin with Lancome’s Audacity Palette. And when you run out of time, just throw that hair up in a top-knot. Your hair will appreciate a break from that hat!
