Easter week brings back memories of florals, ruffles, and pastels…I love everything about this time of year! Though I’m now an adult, I still can’t deny the gravitational pull of spring colors and ruffles. Which is why I’m obsessed with this blouse. Yes, cap sleeve shirts and dresses CAN (and most times do,) make your arms look bigger than they are. So you’ve been warned. But I still think it’s pretty cute anyway.
I wanted to add some pretty jewelry pieces to this look, so I layered on Tarte Laine Designs. What I love most about these is that they are truly little pieces of art masquerading as jewelry! Aren’t they beautiful? My necklace, ring, and bracelet are all unique and conversation starters. The cluster ring is a show stopper, and the cuff bracelet reminds me of a watercolor painting. And don’t get me started on this necklace, which has colorful beads that remind me of a stunning Japanese painting I once saw at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. You can see more of their beautiful work and order pieces for your own jewelry collection here.
Now let’s chat about lips…because this is the time of year when we can move away from the deep burgundy and wine shades and lighten up! I had the chance to try L’Oréal Colour Riche Shine Lip Color in a variety of shades, and holy moly….I LOVE these lipsticks! You can see from the photos above that the colors are rich shiny, and creamy-feeling. I have an affinity for wearing a lighter pink shade about 90% of the time, which explains why Glazed Pink was my immediate favorite. I go a little bolder for on camera most days, so Laminated Fucshia is another color I decided I need in my makeup bag 24/7. These lippies have Argan Oil in them, so no dry, cracked lips. These aren’t super long wear lipsticks, so don’t get frustrated if you have to reapply during the day, but your lips won’t ever feel dry. They stay soft and pretty, and the smell lovely!
