Yes, white can be dangerous. Coffee, chocolate, self-tanner…all the enemies of wearing white. But it’s so clean and fresh looking for spring, I couldn’t resist!
This white ruffle dress has adjustable straps, which I love. (And it’s not super form-fitting, which means you don’t have to spend all day sucking in your stomach.) You can get this light and lovely dress for $13 here. Yes, that’s really the price. And it’s just as cute in real life as the pics on the website.
Let’s talk about the fun side of skincare. Nia is a new line of face products for combating the everyday stressors our skin is up against. Think of all those nights you stay up waaaaay too late, or for those of you who enjoy a cocktail (or five,) the Sunday night after a long weekend. (Or how about when you accidentally fall asleep with your makeup on?) Your skin and face look dull and tired, right? That’s what I love about this skincare line. It’s designed for millennials and the wear and tear we put on our skin from our crazy, tech-infused lifestyle. Though I’m excited to try all the products in the line, I started with these three and loved them. Here’s the breakdown:
Nia Sunday Detox Whipped Clay Peel-Off Mask: Let’s just call this an instant re-set button. This can of clay mousse draws our dirt and debris from your pores to reduce the appearance of blackheads (yuck), then dries to a peel-off mask to remove all the not so lovely dead skin cells. Result? Baby-fresh skin. Hooray! **Side note: you have have seen reports recently of people ripping off their skin with certain peel-off masks. You aren’t in any danger of damaging your skin with this one. It’s gentle and easy.
Nia Glow On Demand Energizing Illuminator: This illuminator is a great way to perk up skin mid-day or before going out at night. It’s made of light-reflecting ingredients that brighten and give your skin a nice glow. The formula includes things like caffeine and ginger, which are known to firm, tighten, and just make everything look smoother. I love using it around 1:00 p.m. to refresh my makeup instead of reapplying more; I just pat a little of the product onto my skin and that’s it!
Tech Neck Line Smoother: I have lines on my neck that bother me. I know they are from years of repeated texting, typing, and looking down at my Kindle. But what can I do about them? That’s where this smoothing serum comes in. It’s a lightweight serum with a cool massage roller that instantly firms and smooths your skin. It’s supposed to help combat those horizontal lines that keep forming around my neck like an innertube. Thank goodness this stuff exists.
Add a few of these to your list when shopping this weekend and let me know what you think! Have a safe and wonderful Friday.
